Welcome to Chest Disease Specialists

Have you ever worked in one of these occupations?
Even if you do not work directly with a hazardous substance it is still possible to develop occupational asthma or another respiratory disease because of "secondary exposure".
Your employers have a legal duty under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 to carry out a risk assessment to identify any hazardous substances you might be exposed to and to assess the risk caused by that exposure to your health.
Wherever possible, the employers' primary obligation is to eliminate the risk altogether. Where that is not possible control measures must be introduced to reduce the exposure to the lowest level reasonably practicable. Only as a last resort should this take the form of personal protective equipment such as breathing apparatus.
If you or someone you know has developed a respiratory issue as a result of your working conditions or your working conditions have made your existing breathing condition worse, contact us now for accurate claim advice.
